    John Morrison

I’m an artist, educator, and researcher based in Scotland. My creative practice has evolved through years of collaborating with care experienced young people, including with the Love Group during the Scottish Independent Care Review. I enjoy exploring the creative potential of photography, film, and immersive technologies as relational, trauma-sensitive means of storytelling and collectively imagining new possibilities for ways of being, knowing, and becoming otherwise.

I’m also the co-founder and director of Liminal Studios, a design collective of artists, researchers, and technologists. Our studio embodies play and creativity through engagement with the arts and immersive technologies. We value creative expression as a fundamental process of transformative change and community cohesion.
